12 Calendar Girls with a Difference
by EP EXTRA Editors
Since the beginning of combining pinup art to calendars, these particular ladies of
stature have had no recourse other than to group themselves apart from the rest.
Calendars with a monthly pinup girl have been around since the 1930's. From that decade
through the 1950's, calendars with pinup girls were created by such painting artists as
Gil Elvgren, George Petty, Rolf Armstrong, Zoe Mozert, Earl Moran, and Alberto Vargas. The
calendar girls of yesteryear were portrayed with various hairdos, makeup, long sleek legs,
thin waists and ample busts.
In the late 1950's and early 1960's new calendars were introduced with pinup models
that have been photographed instead of painted. Again, the image of the model had the
familiar long sleek legs, thin waists and breasts like Jane Russell.
Although in the past, a man probably didn't wonder if a model's upper body parts were
real or not, today he might. With the various calendars published by Sports Illustrated,
Playboy and others, one might wonder about those certain upper model features. This
particular 2006 Calendar sets itself apart from those created with pinups in the early
days and even the majority of them today. First, these calendar girls are all natural. No,
not photographed in their birthday suits! You can probably win a bet that each one of
these Calendar Models haven't had surgery for silicone breast implants.
Today, these Calendar Models might be referred to as BBW (Big Beautiful Women), Curvy
Chicks, Curvy Women, Full Figure, Plus Size or Curvaceous. The models of this calendar are
called Plush-size Women!

2006 Fantasy Calendar - Showing Front and Back
The calendar's photography is done by Satu, who has done work for magazines, catalogs
and newspapers throughout the United States. She created Plush Cat Club to continue
promoting plush-size women. The Plush Cat Club encourages networking and cross-promoting
among plush-size models, designers and artists. They hold plush-size events, fashion
shows, model auditions and photo shoots. They also have a goal of creating more
opportunities for plush-size women.
All Models Size 14 and Up
This calendar is approximately 8 1/2 inches wide by 22 inches long (opened) and shows a
different plush-size lady that is at least size 14 and up for each month. The calendar
month has an area for Notes, it mentions the various holidays, moon status and a different
color border.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we've found these models just as beautiful as
any that may be selected for a typical mainstream calendar. We believe Satu and her
associates have done a very professional task of creating this calendar. Most garages and
workshops of yesteryear had a pinup calendar hanging on the wall. This calendar certainly
earns the same consideration as those of yesteryear and today.
And, due to the rarity of this type of calendar, it is our belief it may serve well to
the collector to have it in their collection. This is the second calendar that the Plush
Size Club has produced. At the time of this writing they still have some 2005 calendars
available at a reduced price. This 2006 Fantasy Calendar was still available and they seem
to be working on a 2007 calendar. The models for the 2007 calendar have already been
selected. So, any models viewing this review may want to see if they will be producing a
2008 Calendar in order to be shown in it.

Blending
Soft and Hard Curves for 2007
The ladies at Plush Cat Club does it again for 2007 with their third year of creating a
calendar with various models sizes 12 and up. This time they've photographed twelve
attractive soft curvy models alongside the hard curves of a shiny vehicle.
