Two Energized Big Girls That Can
Motivate Others
by EP EXTRA Editors
As actions towards size-acceptance do speak louder than words, we would like to inform
the reader about the various functions two big girls, Cher and Lisa Marie, have created
both online and off, for the plus size community.
Cher Rue and Lisa Marie are big girls that are firm believers in being healthy and
losing weight, however, they feel that a person can't just sit home and wait for 50 pounds
to come off, they say enjoy the ride and live your life.
These girls believe that they've made some difference in society for the best in
regards to size-acceptance. They have a goal of teaching the world not to judge anyone by
race, creed, age, size and sexuality. They mention that people are people and what is
inside is the person.
For several years, Cher and Lisa Marie have been producing and hosting their own
size-acceptance show called "The Big Girls Show." The show is produced at
Aldelphia Cable Network in Santa Monica, CA., and is shown in Los Angeles and surrounding
areas. It's not syndicated at this time in other areas of the United States, however, the
girls have a friend in New York who has shown part of the show and viewers want to see
more. So, perhaps in time the show will be available elsewhere.

Hosts of The Big Girls Show
Cher Rue and Lisa Marie
The hosts of "The Big Girls Show" have appeared on "Good
Morning America" and "The Insider" twice. On "The Big Girls
Show," the hosts have reviewed plus size products, art pieces, furniture, clothing
companies and have produced several fashion shows with plus size models.
Some of their visitors to the show include medical doctors to talk about
plastic surgery, and many musical guests that are plus size. "I think mainstream can
watch our show and learn that we are just the same as them, just a bigger size," Cher
remarks. "We are also comical, so the show is entertaining, and we have the first
"Big Girls Show Dating Game," which is like the old "Dating Game"
years ago with three contestants and one person looking for a date. We just try to touch
on anything or anyone who is part of the plus size community."
"The Big Girls Show" has opened many doors to allow Lisa Marie
and Cher to help others in the plus size community. The girls offer their own workout
video. Cher says, "We had a blast making the video, it was made without any practice
to show people of size to just get up and move and have fun. We had fun making it, and
it's also humorous. We sold a lot of the tapes at the BBW Bash and still get orders
online. It's easy to do and fun to watch." The girls have recently filmed three
documentary's from the United Kingdom, Japan and Russia. Visit The Big Girls Show website to
see more about the show and their workout video.
They have The
Big Girls Show official dating site too, where it's free to become a member.
Cher's and Lisa Marie's Two BBW Night Clubs
These girls continue to serve the plus size community through two of their
BBW night clubs. Club Bounce has been around for some years now and has anywhere from 250
to 350 people attend each Friday night at the PCH Club in Long Beach, CA. Volupcity is
another BBW night club located in West Hollywood, CA. that has around 130 people attend
each Wednesday night.
"We have seen a lot of love connections in the clubs, and to see them
happy is just the icing on the cake for Lisa Marie and myself," Cher said.
Visit the Club Bounce
and Volupcity websites to get updated
information about these BBW night clubs.
