His passion wasn't in metal machine work however, so he pursued his dream of building a woodworking shop and wholesale business during his time as a machinist. Since 1986 Larry has been self-employed operating a small production woodworking shop along with his wife of over 27 years. When a computer finally entered into the woodworking business, Larry was soon fascinated by it and worked into the night learning as much as he could about it and the capabilities he could achieve by combining the use of various software. He gained enough knowledge about various computer software and then joined another company as an independent contractor, which he operated and maintained a woodworking related website. Larry authored content from his experience in woodworking, such as articles, plans, tips, techniques and more for the woodworking website from 1997 through 2001. A lot of the evergreen content he's authored is now edited for placement within the Woodworking Rover CDbooks. To enhance the Woodworking Rover CDbooks even further, a variety of original early 20th century woodworking related books have been digitally reprinted, along with text and illustrations in order to add a selection of different Woodworking Rover experiences. Even though the early 20th century books have been around for many years, they are packed with valuable information for even today's woodworker. Larry and his wife have founded Eastman Publishing (a family owned and operated business) and will continue to provide you with free information, CDbooks and Ebooks.
