| This CDbook contains two adventure novels by
Mark Twain (Samuel Langhorne Clemens). The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of
Huckleberry Finn are two of his great works created around two young adventuresome teenage
boys. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
This novel is entertaining for both boys and girls, however Mark Twain did hope that it
will not be shunned by men and women on that account, for part of his plan was to try to
pleasantly remind adults of what they once were themselves. It also has Tom Sawyer's
friend Huckleberry Finn (Huck as Tom called him), who also has quite a role in this story.
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
This novel is a continuation of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, in which Huckleberry Finn
narrates his adventures as he travels down the Mississippi River. Find out how this young
boy of around 13 or 14 escapes trouble and encounters adventures, one after another. Tom
Sawyer is also within this novel.
You get a wonderful look back in time from these stories,
as it was around the 1840's that the adventures take place. There are 78 Chapters and over
300 illustrations within this CDbook. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer consists of 35 Chapters
with 147 illustrations. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn has 43 Chapters and 171
illustrations.
The Huckleberry Finn adventure is a continuance to the Tom
Sawyer tale and it contains a lot of information regarding slavery during the story.
